The City of Duvall is now accepting applications for proposed amendments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan in 2025. Applications are reviewed and processed in accordance with Duvall Municipal Code Chapter 14.72 (Comprehensive Plan Amendment Procedure). Any individual, group, or agency may apply for an amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Applications can be accessed and submitted via our online portal at: https://duvallwa.portal.opengov.com/categories/1076/record-types/6492. Applications must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 to be considered. The initial cost is a $1,500 deposit plus a 5% technology fee. The total application cost may exceed the deposit amount depending on the amount of staff time required to process the application. Final decisions on applications for comprehensive plan amendments are made by the City Council towards the end of year 2025. Be advised that the City is currently undergoing an in-depth periodic update of its 2015 Comprehensive Plan (www.duvallwa.gov/DocumentCenter/Home/View/2974) with anticipated adoption of its 2024 Comprehensive Plan in the first quarter of 2025 (see www.duvallwa.gov/134/Community-Development for more information about the periodic update). Please note that if you anticipate applying for a rezone in 2025 that an amendment to the Future Land Use Map within the comprehensive plan may also be necessary which would require that you also apply for a comprehensive plan amendment during this current application window. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please reach out to Troy Davis, Senior Planner, via email at troy.davis@duvallwa.gov, or by phone at 425.465.7870, or in-person (by appointment only) at 14525 Main Street NE, Duvall.
