Shelley Rowe has worked for the Duvall Police Department since March of 2003. In 2007, she took the R.A.D. class from another officer that was teaching in Duvall. After taking the class, she wanted to be more involved and be an instructor.
In March of 2008, she attended the R.A.D. Systems of Self-Defense school at the University of Iowa, by the nationally recognized Rape Aggression Defense System. After completing the course, she came back and began teaching classes. Since 2008, Shelley has taught hundreds of young girls and women from this community.
“I believe that this program is essential for women and young girls. It’s remarkable how much a woman can accomplish when taught the correct technique. I hope to offer this course for years to come and looking forward to giving back to the community!”
