The City of Duvall is seeking applicants to fill the vacancy of City Council Position 7. This is a temporary appointment which will expire upon certification of the November 2019 General Election (November 26, 2019). Interested citizens are encouraged to apply by 12:00 p.m. (noon), May 29, 2019.
Duvall has a mayor-council form of government with an elected mayor and a seven-member city council. City Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. preceded by a Committee of the Whole workshop at 5:30 p.m. Regular attendance at Council and committee meetings is required. In addition, there are often public meetings or special meetings on specific issues that require attendance.
In order to be eligible for a city council seat, you must be a registered voter of the city at the time of submitting your application and have been a resident of the city for at least one year.
Interested parties are required to submit an application packet including a City Council application and a letter of interest detailing your interest in being a Duvall Councilmember. Application packets are available on the city’s web page, and at City Hall, 15535 Main Street NE.

Filing week is May 13th – 17th. This application and temporary appointment process does not take the place of filing for candidacy.
