The City of Duvall adopted its Shoreline Master Program to comply with Washington State requirements under the Shoreline Management Act on April 19, 2016 under Resolution 16-07. The Snoqualmie River is the only body of water in the City of Duvall classified as a shoreline of the state. Duvall's Shoreline Master Program (SMP) contains goals and policies, development regulations, and permitting procedures for managing the Snoqualmie River Shoreline in the Duvall city limits.
The city last updated its Shoreline Master Program in 1974. The city received funding from the Department of Ecology to update its Shoreline Program.
